Bow Hunting

 

Enjoy being part of nature's beauty as you hunt in the the Eagle Cap Mountains. The beauty of the alpine lakes, the clear Minam River, the breathtaking scenic views, and the multitude of wildlife (including the largest elk herd in Eastern Oregon), will make your trip unforgettable. We have several hunting trips available. The Guided Bow Hunt and the Supplied Bow Hunting Camp are our most popular, but we also offer a Supplied Bow Hunting Camp with Cook and a Drop Camp. Guided Bow Hunt

We furnish the horses, tents, heating and cooking stoves, cooking equipment, all the food and good hearty cooked meals. Experienced guides and a cook is included. One guide per two hunters. Out of State Licenses and Tags are included. The hunting trip is one-day ride to camp, seven days of hunting and one-day ride back out. Four hunters per campsite is recommended, we reserve the right to combine parties to make up a full camp. This is our most popular trip, so be sure to sign up early.

Supplied Bow Hunting Camp

We furnish the camp: tents, heating and cooking stoves, and cooking equipment. The hunting trip is a one-day ride to camp, seven days of hunting and a one-day ride back out. A party of 4 hunters per campsite is recommended. You provide your own food.

Supplied Bow Hunting Camp with Cook

Same services as the Supplied Hunting Camp, but it includes a cook and all of your food. Prices are based on 4 hunters per camp.

Drop Camp

We pack in your own camp gear and supplies. The hunting trip is a one-day ride to camp, seven days of hunting and a one-day ride back out. Two mules per hunter is allowed, with an extra charge for each additional.

For All Camps: Pack items must be within weight and reason (we reserve the right to refuse any item). Pack items are limited to 125 pounds total per hunter. Parties of 4 to 6 hunters per campsite is recommended. You bring your own personal and hunting gear, sleeping bag, and a 3" foam pad for all trips. We will haul your meat to town for cold storage. Bring plenty of warm clothing for rain or snow.

Bookings are on a first come, first booked basis. Book early to get the campsite and the hunting date you want. No camp is booked until the deposit is received.


More Information for Out of State Hunters

Guaranteed Elk and Deer tags for out of state hunters are now available with Moss Springs Packing.

Bookings must be made before March 15, 2003 for out of state hunters and are made on a first come, first served basis.

50% DEPOSIT REQUIRED ON ALL BOOKINGS.

REMAINDER OF BALANCE DUE THIRTY DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE.

DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

DEPOSIT REFUNDED TO HUNTERS WITH DRAW TAGS AFTER PROVIDING PROOF THAT THEY DID NOT GET A TAG.
